Dear (Soon-to-be) Friend at First,
Beginning a relationship, and getting to know your new lead pastor (or new congregation) in a time of social distancing, may seem like trying to fly fish for brown trout in an Indiana cornfield. Despite this COVID-19 thing, I (Pastor Mark) want to get to know each of you because ministry is – at the heart of it – about relationships. To give you a chance to get to know something about me, and to give me a chance to get to know something about you, we are setting up a series of informal, 1-hour sessions we’re calling Virtual Meeting Mark and One Another (VMMOA).
My hope is that you and I will get to know one another, and that those of you who participate-whether new to Auburn First or veteran members-will also get to know one another in a deeper way. We will be offering these sessions at a variety of times (see the registration tab) to fit your schedule. These sessions will take place using ZOOM. After registering for a date, you will be sent an easy to follow link to join the meeting with your phone or video/sound enabled computer. There will also be meetings at the church in a large space, limited to no more than 12 persons, where we can express our care for one another by practicing social distancing. (Click here to register for the in-person sessions)
Call the office at 260-925-0885 or email Tammy Althouse at [email protected] if you have any questions.
I’m looking forward to getting to know you, and sharing the road ahead with you and Jesus.
In Christ and for Christ,
Pastor Mark Owen Fenstermacher
